This page says what happens to your details if you use this website or join the HaleWell waitlist. It is written in plain language.
Who this is from
HaleWell Clinic is a UK online medical weight-loss clinic, run by Halewell Clinic Limited. This website is halewellclinic.com. When this page says we or us, it means the clinic.
What you give us
If you join the waitlist, we ask for your name, email address and phone number. We also ask what you are hoping for, when you might want to start, what you are comfortable paying, the kind of support you have in mind, and whether you have used a weight-loss medicine before. That last answer is about your health.
If you go on to an assessment, a UK-registered prescriber may ask for more about your health, your medicines and your identity, so they can decide whether treatment is appropriate. We only ask for what that review needs.
The site host also receives ordinary technical details, such as the pages you open and the IP address of your connection, so the site can load and stay secure.
What we do with it
We use your waitlist details to reply to you and to see whether a conversation with a prescriber is the right next step. If a medicine is prescribed, it is supplied by Halewell Clinic Limited at 15 Moss House, Moss Lane, Altrincham. The pharmacy GPhC registration is in progress. We share what the pharmacy needs to dispense the medicine.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to advertise to you on other websites.
Why we are allowed to
Replying to a waitlist request is something you asked us to do, before any decision about treatment. Where an answer is about your health, we use it because you sent it for that review. If care goes ahead, the prescriber uses it to provide that care. We also keep enquiry records so the clinic can be run properly. If the law requires a clinical record to be kept, we keep it.
Who else sees it
The people at HaleWell who handle enquiries, and the UK-registered prescribers who review them. Waitlist answers are emailed to the clinic and stored in a Google spreadsheet. The website and the form are hosted by Framer. Those companies handle the information for us, so the form can arrive and the site can stay online.
A pharmacy sees dispensing details only if a prescriber has agreed that a medicine is appropriate. We do not pass your details to anyone else for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details while your request is open, and for a short time afterwards so we can answer a follow-up. If you only joined the list and we no longer need the entry, we delete it. If you become a patient, clinical records are kept for the time UK professional rules require.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete a waitlist entry where we do not have to keep it for a clinical or legal reason. You can also object to particular uses. To ask, reply to any email we send you, or send a message through the waitlist page and say it is a privacy request.
If you are unhappy with our reply, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are needed to deliver the pages. We do not use them to follow you around the web with adverts.
Children
This clinic is for adults. Please do not send us information about a child through the waitlist.
